an interstellar cloud of dust.

saw this place mentioned on eat here now and i’m always in the mood for japanese so we decided to give it a try on the bf’s bday a few days ago.

so glad we did.

in a nutshell, the food here is ah-may-zing! we ordered squid, beef tongue, pork belly, and chicken gizzard yakitori, along with fried squid rings and takoyaki. even after consuming all that, we were still hungry for more (because it’s really good!!) so we ordered a special that had 5 different skewers (4th picture). the special contained 2 different chicken yakitori, shrimp wrapped in pork, beef tongue, and beef tenderloin. my recommendations? anything and everything but chicken. not that they were bad, just didn’t have that ‘wow!’ factor that everything else did. my mouth is watering just thinking about the beef tongue…mmm sooo savoryyy! i can’t wait to go back!

so if you want some delicious, authentic japanese yakitori, definitely go to ken yakitori bar!
